River Conditions Update
March 9th, 2010
Lock 25 (UM241.4) is scheduled to close for maintenance on January 4, 2010 and re-open on
April 4th, 2010. No traffic will be permitted to transit the lock during the closure period.
Boats at Markland Lock (OR 531) are experiencing no delay today. The
main chamber has been repaired.
R.C. Byrd Lock (OR279.2) maintenance has been canceled for this year.
Calcasieu Locks (West Canal 238) will be closed for guidewall repairs from 07:00 to 17:00
Monday through Thursday, beginning February 8th, for the next 60 to 90 days.
The Old River Lock closure (LM 304.00) has been postponed until October, 2010.

2010 Repair Schedule
MONONGAHELA RIVER AREA
ALLEGHENY RIVER AREA
CUMBERLAND RIVER AREA
UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER AREA
Lock 25 UM241.4 will be closed to navigation from 0600 on 4 January 2010 until 1800
on 4 April 2010. There is no auxiliary lock available to pass traffic during this
closure.
TENNESSEE RIVER AREA
Chickamauga Lock TR471-Lock will be closed from 0600 on 13 April 2010 through
1800 on 11 May 2010. There is no auxiliary lock available to pass traffic during this
closure.
Fort Loudoun Lock TR602.3-Lock will be closed to navigation from 0600 on 20 July
2010 through 1800 on 10 August 2010. There is no auxiliary lock available to pass
traffic during this closure.
Watts Bar Lock TR529.9-Lock is scheduled for closure to navigation from 0600 on 12
October 2010 through 1800 on 2 November 2010. There is no auxiliary lock
available to pass traffic during this closure.
